Right abit of a PC N00b question but here goes

Ive just got a new flat panel monitor for my desktop and its HD ready. My question is do i just plug a HDMI cable from the slot into the computer to the motior or does it also need the scart type lead attached ( the blue one) any help would be good

just HDMI

if it doesn't work then try both

Cheers is it worth getting like the gold plated ones that you get with tv's that are meant to be better quality or the ones that are like £10 in tesco

Doesn't matter which you use... £2 leads from £-stretcher will do just fine.

It carries a digital signal, not anaolgue

HDMI will give much better image than Scart.

It's VGA he's talking about anyway, not scart.

Even the cheap HDMI's are normally gold plated, don't spend anymore than a tenner on one, try not to spend more than a fiver.
