Not really had much time to work on the house in the last week since getting the keys.
Today was my first day off work, I have been doing some after work. Here's a few pics.

Garage is looking a mess.

Stair lift has gone.

The roof above the bathroom is leaking in, This has to be sorted at weekend.

Found a hidden door in the main bedroom, Ripped it out.

Fitted wardrobes gone from second bedroom.

Fireplace has been ripped out, Just need to sort out a gas engineer to cap off the fire.
Just a few bits of wood left to remove tomorrow.

All the plaster around the french doors had blown, Removed it ready to be boarded and skimmed.

And that is all for today.

Feel free to drive the 5 hours to come and give a hand anytime mate. Lol.

Everything on the house is a pain in the arse, The previous has done fitted everything so it takes ages to remove like the wood on the Walls and the floor. He's screwed down sheets of ply and covered it with vinyl.

Bit late for that, I took great pleasure in ripping it out in pieces, it was very therapuetic.

Sorry chaps, Been busy ripping crap out and forgot to get pics I shall get some today.

Rewire is complete, All heating pipes are now under the floors using plastic barrier pipe. It looked crap with the copper pipes on the skirting boards.
I just need to sort a plasterer now then the decorating can begin.

It's on the cards, needs a whole system as it's a one pipe system ATM. Will get done when funds allow. The BG engineer said it's ok but uneconomical at best. Lol. BG salesman quoted £5,500 for a new central heating system. Needless to say he was told where to go.

£5,500 is waaaaay over the odds

I could knock £1750 - £2k off that I reckon, how many bedrooms is it?

1 pipers were fitted in the 70s early 80s, nothing wrong with them as you say, just really outdated

It's a 3 bed semi but there are radiators in the porch and kitchen so 8 rads in total. When I've had the heating on it does take a while to warm up, i'm assuming it's a combination of poor system, empty house and the system not being on for months so could do with the rads bleeding.

Picture was taken with the system drained whilst I put the pipework under the floor. Normally have it between 1.5-2 bar.

Got the bedroom and hall stairs and landing to get ready for plaster after that. The list never ends

The meter tails from meter to consumer unit should be sheathed like the ones from the cutout to the meter.

Is that a gas or water pipe running right next to it? Either way the consumer unit should be 150mm minimum away from pipes for obvious reasons.

Not slating your house or anything, youve got a really nice place, just pointing it out incase you didnt realise mate.

Im midway through buying my second house at the min, and want to replace the copper pipe work with plastic like you've done. Is it expensive?

On my current house i re-plumbed the central heating in 15mm copper as the old microbore pipes were fucked in places.

I just like the idea of plastic, must be better for keeping heat in and it must be easier to install?
