I've been keeping an eye on things, just never had enough time to reply. waiting for the bird for a change though so had 5 mins, i'll catch up when I'm home and get back to slagging apple

My mate has had a 3GS for over a year and he gets it out at every given opportunity, goes on it to prove a point (That everyone is already agreed on I might add!) Pretty much can't have a conversation without it coming out of his pocket.
Just recently I've found myself tinkering with mine more than I need to. I don't think I will be going to the extremes as him though!

The irony is it's probably the perfect phone for John, you can get it to dual boot with Android and various other g33k things I will never use.

The Hipstamatic camera app is quite good actually. You can use it to take retro style photos, which would work well for taking a picture of a classic car.

another one of my mates just got an iphone4, he had it out at the same time as i had my 3gs out and another mate said "i thought you were getting the new iphone? lee's looks loads better" obvously not clued up on the latest tech but it made me laugh

I think you can turn off the auto brightness. You only notice it when it gets it wrong, which isn't all that often but I know what you mean...

Just dont drop them!! ive dropped my 3Gs numerous times no issues. Get out the car this morning and wham iphone4 hits the ground and shatters the front glass cover. Done that with the 3Gs no issues!

3GS has a broken power button which is really pissing me off.
