yeah sprayed, because theyre plastic sadly they are a slightly different match athough you can only see it in certain light on photos

i think some are, and then painted on top of that

Just make sure you go to a decent place. The powder coated finish on my wheels is bubbling and coming off. They haven't even seen the light of day either.

Also when they do the whole wheel I have heard a few stories of wheels not fitting correctly after, but a mate of mine owns a alloy wheel refurb company, that specialises in luxury cars, ferraris etc n they don't powdercoat, when I asked why he said 'if powdercoat was so great, why wouldn't they do cars that way?' I assumed it was because alloy was a different material, but god knows

powder coat isn't very UV resistant, on exterior stuff it doesn't last as long.

also most of the benefits bear no impact to the person whose wheels they are, mainly benefits the person/company powder coating instead of paint.

Powder coating is UV resistant though.

alot of places just use powder coat as a primer on wheels don't they?

they the paint and laquer on top to help protect from UV etc

its all on wiki mate
