If the rad was funked, that might have caused the HG, exactly what it did on my corsa before i bought it.

well mine is fizzing up and spraying water when i open cap and i know that my head gasket is starting to go so is that the problem?

are you sure you wherent just sat it traffic for too long, so it hit 100? the fan comes in on mineat 100

Think ive stil got the compression test results here that i did a few weeks ago messing around with my brothers kit, all was gurddd

Also i cant see the headgasket going when it was only replaced last june!

I was sat at traffic lights for about a min or so..

even in slow traffic, not just standing still. . mine will reach 100 in high street traffic, which isnt stand still but still slowly moving

My Corsa used to get hot in traffic all the time. Fans worked fine though.

No its good the fans kicking in. If your in traffic and its getting hot wack the heaters on full blast to cool it down

You keep saying about this HG being replaced but have you not read that since Will has had the car,hes drove it without any coolant/water in the system.This will cause the HG to go again if it has been driven for a period of time with no coolant/water.

Check the system everyday Will and take note if the coolant level is dropping.If it is then something aint right.

how can you say here that you dont think this is correct and then a few posts down say you know nothing about cars?

if the coolant system is under pressure then you let off the cap you are depressurising the system and the coolant will spray out a bit, this is normal

also, the garage you take it to dont seem to know much if they tell you something that basic is not meant to happen
