I shall do this 2nite, I can assure u it will be quicker than that

I'm not so sure

All comes down to ratios really!!

I know in mine, at 50mph in 4th, i'm just at the start of my power band (3k-4k), which ends at around 85mph.

But my brother's GTi 6, dispite pushing almost 190bhp, its long ratios mean that in 4th @ 50mph its at like 2k revs, and so well off cam. (still pretty fast, but it wud kick arse in 3rd instead).

Interesting program Patrick - I see there's an option for 'number of wheels'. Good to know the Robin Reliant hasn't been forgotten.

The program looks pretty efficient, only problem I see is the fact that it assumes all that power sees its way to the tarmac

What a surprise

1st attempt: 7dead (twisty A road, bad start)
2nd attempt: 6.77 (dual carriageway - not fully clear, 1 overtake necy)
3rd attempt: 6.48 (also dual carriageway - completely clear)

Will try again some time in the evening next time I am on the A40

VTEC hits at just over 80 in 4th in general
