Not amazing, but was never going to be as he really shouldnt be the main striker at any club.

Personally, I like the thought of Torres being partnered up front with someone who is a real handful and the defenders have to concentrate on. At the moment they basically have just him to mark, so will be interesting to see what he'd be like with a lot more space.

Im not suggesting he would be a good signing for us (not as the main forward) - and he certainly would not be the answer if we were relying on him for the goals. And again for more than £50k a week he'd be too expensive.

As a general squad player, either willing to sit on the bench or as a different option along with Torres, and for less than £50k (and not big fat heads unrealistic valuation) he wouldnt be a bad signing.

That's a very good peice of business that, he's big and strong and FREE He played very well against arsenal and that goal record is v. good even considering its in the belgian league. AC milan were interested aswell.

Yeah I think its a case of a medical and singing, which isnt easy given he is still playing for someone. Deal is agreed on all sides though.

He looks like a typical CF who likes to poach, and also likes taking people on in the box. He's meant to be ok on the left side aswell.

Standard Liege confirm Milan Jovanovic has signed a pre-contratc with Liverpool

I expect we will complete the signing of Chamakh before long, all the noise is comign from him saying he wants to join us over Liverpool despite less wages at Arsenal
