Nah - i'm almost certain they put the 1,6 8v nova engine into the very early GSis. I remember seeing brand new ones with just "GSi", not GSi 16v.

I know that some 1.2's had the carb engine out of the nova, i am very suprised they put the 8v engine in the GSi.

Howsit TeamKrazy..

Cars lookin wicked man.... When did ya put in the NOS kit...
Gonna be comin down to Edwin Swales for a run?? Will be bookin my own wheels in with Old Dutch soon.. have to sort out a few problems first..

For all the other guys : South African corsa's all came with the Brazillian-spec 8 valvers and have 75kw(102bhp I think) as standard. Very highly speced cars too..
Mine came with airconditioning, leather seats, power steering, 15'' mags, etc. as standard equipment.
Incidently the 8v engine is a wicked performer and even did service in our Kadette's( your Astra's).

sho so many questions.
will try answer them all at once
it is a 1600is 8v 102HP with a 60HP single fogger NOS shot so with gas on pushes 172HP
NOS has been in for about 6 weeks.
i have tsw razors 17" with 205/40/17 yokohama A539
the kit is called an avante kit
the colour is called barcelona green
springs have been compressed to leave a one finger space between arch and tyre so worked out to about 30mm in front and 20mm at back
the exhaust is turned down at the road, as i did not want to cut the back bumper

cheers

Same here!

Thanks for letting me join the club, Neil. That car of yours is kick ass! The chicks here talk a lot about that Green Corsa of yours. Hey! You know what they say about Corsas?? The're little vacuum cleaners! Tend to pick up lots of loose pieces of 'fluff!' The club has become very popular too and everyone here knows 'TeamKrazy!'

Tony

P.S. I'm going to Tartlon International Raceway for the Fast and the Furious Party on the 21st March. Will probably see you and the rest of the TeamKrazy guys there?
