Funny you should say that.

Serviced it - fuel filter, fuel separator, oil filter, and air drier. 13 litres of oil. Charged the batteries and took it out for a spin.

Got Alternator warning and some smells which turned out to be the aux belt failing after not moving for a few years. Boshed a new belt on, job done.

Got back on the back lights

Can't remember what happened but the relay system / trailer plug was all working and just waiting for the lights. Having said that, they're a bit cheap and shit and the plugs are feel like they'd fail if you looked at them wrong. Not the best bit of engineering.

Look OK fitted though.

Cooker hood another job ticked off. This was a 240v domestic unit but now carries at 12v heater motor in the original housing from a Puma, chopped about to suit the metal enclosure. Will be re-wired to use the original switches when I find a solution to regulating the motor speed.

Bit of carpetting, this is around the cab (driving position) roof

General interior

Roof is down as the hardboard is being replaced with plastic to be confirmed exactly what.

Boiler cover also off to sort that leak. Turned out to be the flow valve as that's the weakest bit and in plastic.

£44 retail which is too much http://www.thecaravanwarehouse.co.uk/ShowDetails.asp?id=631

Scored a little bargain on the bay - not quite the same fitting on the bottom but took a risk to save 30 quid. Turns out its a 1/2 BSP on both ends which is totally unsuitable for the standard pipe

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/111493893592

Little trip to Screwfix to see what they had and came across this style of thing - http://www.screwfix.com/p/flex-tap-connector-valve-15mm-x/18417

Got one 1/2 BSP each end and that replaces the Morco copper pre-bent thing and that sorted it for 3 quid.

Bed flaps also carpetted. Seat belts went in shortly after this one although no pics. And still need two more belts.

Not on it this weekend as I've a transport job and then NEC Classic on Sunday but its coming on.

Also got a wheel off and got that sanded to see how it will refurb, pics to follow on that also.

Some more purchases also

Vent for the roof, need a play about to see if it will be strong enough as leaks are a concern where it joins as the roof its mounting to isn't really load-bearing. But it needs ventilation.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/141463061545

Resistors for the indicator relay as the dash currently thinks a bulb has blown as there's no 24v bulb load in the rear. These are slightly over-specced at 50w so they'll run a bit cooler while we're not short on space.

Bit of a lean, note the wheel is off away at the refurbers, sanded the outer face the other day and it looked lovely but the guy wants to do both sides so the rusty bit you'll never see doesn't contaminate the good side. Better job really.

Found some lunch.

And the main job, door has leaked since it was installed thanks mostly to it normally being sat on a sill on a house installation, which drains away any rain water. Or in this one, lets it soak in to the frame.

Sheeted up ready for sitting there for a bit while we make this:

Main part to note is the Z shape on the left of it all, that's going to hold the door effectively outside the truck. Door is the 105 bit, shaded areas are the bits we're ignoring and capping in completely the whole door assembly, bit stonger than trying to fasten to the very edges. Circle is the lifting ram and the square next to that is the box frame of the hatch which will hinge up and down to cover the door in transit and give a bit of a porch to the doors when its on-site.

That part is mirrored on the right side and there will be a simpler one top and bottom with some notches which we're planning to weld together once its all in. Should be a bit drier once its done.

Two 12, got an isolator switch already wired in so just isolate that and do them both as 12v sets.

Love the look of that floor.

Can't wait to see the finished van (hopefully it won't be years away). I take it you're going to wrap it and put some cool graphics on?

Still not in love with the idea of a wrap. Was thinking just painted with some vinyl put on later. And either work out a way to get a few logos on there, or just brand it up CS for those events and WR for the others. Got a cutter here so its no biggie to knock up the logos and lettering, just the time to do it.

Massive WR logo on the side would be cool as would little ones inside on stuff like the toiler and shower door and etched look ones on the big door glass.

Few jobs before that though

Would be better just painting it all a fresh White and putting vinyls graphics and logos on.

How is WR doing? Don't think I've been on there since you started it up. How many events do you do a year about? Would be great to see this being used a lot.

WR now does Combe twice a year and Trax.

Not done anything in between those for a bit.

Need to re-integrate that forum to this one at some point. The site is shit and looks like the place does nothing whereas the offline stuff is actually fairly healthy all said.
