As far as progress, nothing huge to report....

Went to the RR day at Hayes DynoTech and the car made just 208bhp and 225lbft torque...

Have been having boosting problems and no matter what the car wouldnt hold the reuired 10psi. tried all sorts, purchased a forge actuator and with the 10psi spring it held 2 psi, bought a 14-18psi spring and it boosted to 10 and dropped to 6....

figured I must have a boost leak, so all boost pipes have been replaced with proper mandrel bent stainless pipes all properly swaged.... after that there was only one option...

Purchased a Gizzmo MS-IBC electronic boost controller, got it all fitted and set up and hey presto! Holds 10 psi, first time since the fmic has been fitted! Mega happy - so will pop back to hayes dynotech to see what it makes now

So - pics!

When i purchased the rforge actuator:

Also bought a TX autosport full recirc valve:

fitted the forge actuator (have since changed spring as mentioned previously)

original Bailey DV26:

New full recirc set up - my gosh, makes such a difference!

Sometime during this the car still wouldnt hold boost, behold! custom boost pressure tester...

Holds pressure fine... so...

bought this!

wired up (no working pics yet - but... it works! Very well)

Also fitted longer front braided lines, as the HEL's were a tad too short and were tight on ful lock...

Got some new rubber!

Got an MoT booked for tomorrow so took the plunge and treated myself to some proper tyres

Yokohama ADVAN Neova AD08's in 205/ 45/ 16 - should be a bit more rubber on the road for improved grip!

just image a pile of cash - to be abused...

Havent pushed them yet as only drove from the tyre place to work, so far they feel amazing, very thick sidewalls so you feel more bumps, (even thicker than the eagles) but turn in is sharp, very responsive! However there is a little rubbing, with the wheels being somewhere between et35 and et38... This will be addressed.

Excellent tyres, brave running them on the road as I found they needed a fair amount of heat to really work properly.

And yeah mine rubbed on my Mazda with them despite not rubbing with road tyres on, due to the thicker sidewalls

Good choice. How much were they in that tyre size?

Thanks Graham, you know me, brave n all that So far I have found them faultless, even when cold.... interesting to hear yours rubbed , mine was a bit of a gamble as I had 165/45's before, now Im running 205/45s.... I paid £125 a corner

Nath - Cheers mate, checked out your thread yesterday - looking good! No major plans now, need to get the map sorted, new gearknob to go on, then some eibach camber shims for the rear...

Also - The corsa passed its MoT today

Ah you changed the tyre profile, that's probably why I had the same tyre profile but the AD08's still rubbed even though the others didn't. Can you get these archesl rolled or is there no lip?

Thanks bud . I jus can't wait for some Boost this year ! Didn't think you would have many more plans , its damn near perfect as it is ! The only thing I would change is take the lower middles grill out and have the Front mount on show . But I know you prefer the OEM look !

Graham - yeah fraid so, the wheels are 16x7 so are fine for 205 - but of course the profile is a tad larger due to extra width... not easily, its all plastic, will keep checking, no doubt will just wear the plastic inner arch liner then will be fine just need to watch out for the bolt holding the arches on... may have to grind it down...

Nath - you boosting yours? good plan I just want to enjoy the car now and get out on track some more Nah, you know me, stealth is better

Yh I'm palnning a Z20LET . Hopefully be done in the summer ! Can't wait , my mates is so much fun .

With regards to the tyres rubbing , after a while the arch liner will wear away after some use . Might rub quite a bit when your on track wen you giving some beans in and out of the corners tho ??

yeah, the rubbing isnt good, just worried the tyre will eventually catch on the bolt holding the outer arch on.... luckily my dads got a heat gun so gonna attempt bending the inner arch
