No its not. It never was.

It came to the Corsa Vs Saxo day, had loads of ICE, but the spec isn't THAT long compared to others, not unless the engine has had a major rebuild.

I can find the times it posted. But 0-60 was in the high 6's, low 7's due to the weight...

Unless its a different car with exaxtly the same engine, and flip paint....

OooooooOOoOo. Well you go by your stopwatch, and i'll go by the official GPS timing with proper equipment..... I saw it for a day, on a 2 mile runway, doing various timing trials, on proper equipment....

Steve owned it I think. Did your "mate" build/pay for the engine to be done, or did he just buy the whole car when it went up for sale?????

You loose

PS, I know a mate that has a modified Skyline.. It feels really fast, therefore it must be the fastest Skyline in the UK cos i've seen it put down proper quick times on mi stopwatch innit.....

How can you know how it goes if its been sat in a barn as well

PS, the fastest NA 2.0 Corsa recorded is still Lucky B's (in the modified car world).

Fastest 1/4 mile NA 2.0 is GAZ purple one.

Unfortunatly, Steve, the guy that owned the car and had the work done, could not put down the times anywhere near what Lucky's was doing.

It was also on an SBD 225 kit, unlike Luckys who was running over 250...

Not to mention there are XE's out there running over 300bhp, so im sitll a little confused where the claim comes from.

Sure if you've got some facts, i'll listen. But to put such a brash comment, then a sh1tty reply back???? Go figure? Or go back to McDonalds

Wrighty you must stop now please, I was there at the Corsa V Saxo day and saw the Datatron timing first hand, I have a picture of all the times during the day here somewhere and that Corsa certainly wasn't the fastest, it was by no means slow though.

At the moment for an NA engine, yeah.

Made 149mph, btu in reality, more runway and i'd have expected a good 155+. The thing used to chase 600cc Sports bikes.

On those vids you can hear how quickly the engine revs, and how fast and crisp the induction note is.

i cant see there being any vauxhalls besides maybe the btcc cars near 300bhp, cost way to much than what people are willing to spend anyway!

much more over 25-260bhp it gets very expensive very quickly n/a

The turbocharged C20XE in a Mk2 in South Africa running 9's....

Ok its turbo'd, but its actually an XE.....

Im playing, god people read too much into things

Do you not think he went through the spec before he attended the event? Never spoken to him, or nothing.

Nope, he just turned up, done a few runs, went home. Never spoke to him, never looked at car, never noted times, never orgenised the whole day, bar booking brunters and the equipment at all

I will go back to my hole in the corner

Yeah Daimo can be a turd can't you Daimo? But this time I'm with him, I saw the car, saw it run and it was no where near as quick as Lucky B's so in the 6 or 7 years since the Corsa v Saxo day I would love to know what's been done to make it so much faster.

I am a turd.

Turds can be polished.

So im a shiny turd?

It would have been in the high 5's, low 6's 0-60mph if the weight had been removed, but it ran 17"s to fit over the Bremsport brakes (see my knowledge is poor ) that no-one had even seen on here, let alone fitted.

He was a top bloke, typical happy Yorkshireman I think.

But top speed was massivly apparent, as weight doesn't come into play at top speed, power does, and he was quite some way down off Luckys top end.

Have to get the mag out again, but was top 130's I think.

Its just the engine looks exactly the same, and if its been sat in a barn, I wonder how above user "KNOWS" its the fastest XE/corsa in the UK, or former one anyway....

What even did it claim this crown?

I might be wrong, maybe the bloke HAS had a MAJOR rebuild/upped the performance, but if its been sat in a barn, and its just "his mate" without anything to back it up????

My mate is a shuttle pilot. He also races for Williams, and part time drives for Citroeon n the WRC. In his spare time he likes to fly the world and save 3rd world brats...

All is true, its my mate....
