My N reg 1.2 Merit has got a chipped key and ALL vauxhalls built after 95 should have one.

He's got a V reg..

10ft of chain padlocked round the rear axle, then through the rear wheels a few times.. cant tow or drive it away then.

should have just unplugged the coilpack, take about 1 second lol....

lol at taking the engine cover off and unplugging the HT leads!

well im not all that clued up with where everything is lol i knew where the ht leads were but the engine got in the way when i pulled it off and now my thumb is a mess and it hurts

did it have a red cap on it? if it did i broke the cap off i just couldnt see anything it was too dark

didnt Ian W's GSi have a transponder? And then one night they took it off his drive and put it on a trailer/flatbed.

A lil chip dont stop anyone if they want it.

My fav security mod is my snap-off wheel boss. Confuses the hell out of many people!

take the fuel pump relay out of it...piece of piss.

Neither will taking off the steering wheel? whats your point?

Short of locking the car away or chaining it to a post by the chassis the factory imobolliser is as secure as you can get.

My corsa doenst even get locked, the way I see it is I'd rather they opened the door and had a snoop around inside rather than smash the window/bend the door just to see there is nothing worth nicking in side it.
