Got myself a rear ARB of a Cav SRi today, but have no idea how to fit it.

I know some modifications need to be done.

Pictures, links, tutorials would be helpful.

Um drill a hole in each end of the bar (on the flat bits) bigger enough for some sturdy bolts. then get some fuck off big exhaust clamps ill find you site i got mine from. Then bolt it up

Did you get all the bushes? two on the main bar and one at each end (square ones)

Drilling the holes are a piant in the arse and that was using a pillar drill

So dont know about a normal hand drill

I drilled mine easy with a Pillar Drill - piece of piss!

Were you using crappy Bits? And did you stage it through using a pilot and gradually getting bigger?

No i was missing my clamp so had trouble holding it still whilst drilling it. Used three sizes of drill bits which were old but i new they could handle it. Looking to get flat metalplates to use with the exhaust clamps so it sits better.

Ooo ta lads! Yeah i got all the rubbers, snapped one of the bolts but i only need 2 by the looks of things! Just need somebody with a pillar drill now!

I couldn't find big enough exhaust clamps in local shops so whammed on big Jubilee Clips instead - seems to work, until i source some proper clamps...

I bought the 92mm exhaust clamps off ebay for £5 but thet dont sit well, using square plates under the beam instead of the curved section of the clamp.

Jubilees are nowhere near as strong as exhaust clamps. I'd be swapping them asap.

They will probably snap as they go under stress mid corner

Exhaust clamps are cheap

That's not the point. My understanding of it is that the ARB needs to be very tight against that rear beam to make it the most rigid it can be. If you're using jubilees you might not be getting it tight enough and so not making the most of it.
