Did you just put the calibra rears straight in or did you swap the leather onto a corsa rear bench?

Hi mate, luckily they were already swapped onto a corsa rear bench, not a 60/40 split though, a solid rear, so the seems could be lined up etc.

Saved me a job! on my 12v, I swapped them over onto a 60/40 split bench, looked ok but didn't line up perfect like mine do now.

Yes Shauns right, bumped it last night, absolutely gutted!! , felt like crying at the time!

Basically, was turning right at a crossroads, there was a lad I know opposite, waiting to come straight over the crossroads. I think I set off first but he thinks he set off first. So I'll say we set off at same time, looked across to see his headlights in my face, so I braked, and BANG!

From the angle of the crash, you can see that I set off first tbh. collision was my N/S/F wing / bumper, to nearly centre of his bonnet / bumper. If he set off first I'd of hit his O/S/F corner with my N/S/F corner.

Anyway, not much wrong with his car, (Fiat coupe), where as mine is pretty foobarred! . We decided to leave insurance out of it, and sort it through ourselves. I'm gonna fix mine, he's fixing his.

Pics of damage:

Bent bumper reinforcer

Pic of damage to other car, or should I say lack of damage!

So far I can see from looking without dismantling that I need:

Headlights
Bumper
Wing
Bumper
Bumper reinforcer
Straighten lower slam panel where Bottom of headlight clips in if it's bent, but does look bent!
And whatever else I uncover when I take bumper off etc.

Luckily because the bonnet line was quite low on the coupe, it left my bonnet untouched! Which I'm happy about.

Hope to get it fixed ASAP!

depo didn't smash mate but it's fooked! All back of it is smashed!

Think I've sourced some parts, wing and bumper, in red, from a local scrappy, £65 for pair, but the bumper os post 97, which I didn't really want!

So anyone know where there is a red pre 97 front bumper please?? Must be mint

Cheers.

update people. Got a bumper reinforcer yesterday, as I could see mine was bent to fook.

Luckily I found 1 brand new unsmoked depo on ebay so bought that straight away, so will smoke that as soon as it comes!

Also, found a wing on ebay, in sheffield, says it's mint, off to pick it up in the morning.

Started to strip it down yesterday, got depo out, and bumper off, then it started bloody snowing! lol

On the pic, the lower slam panel is bent inwards (circled blue). It should follow the yellow line around, so will have to do my best to straighten that! Undid the 2 lower wing bolts that are usually hidden by the bumper and the wing sprung out, probably about 1". Hoping it's just with either the lower slam panel being fooked, or just the wing itself!

Pic just to show the bumper reinforcer.

Yeah the plan is to keep the pre 97 bumpers, but can't find one atm, so hopefully can get a post 97 red one till I find a pre. Then can still get money back from post 97 one. . Not buying any parts that aren't mint though lol.

Will post pics of progress. I'm hoping to have it back together by Saturday night. Borrowing headlights off a mate, then just need to find a bumper!

BTW it's like 6" deep snow in my area! lol.

Pic of poorely corsa under his fluffy white blanket lol

Why wont you get a post 97? They look much better.

I used to think post 97 looked better but after owning pre 97, prefer them. Plus I want to leave rub strips on and sport badges, so post 97 bumpers would look odd.

Yeah, hopefully should be an easy fix!

Cheers

Well, all fixed now, so time for an update.
Went and got the wing from Sheffield. Mint condition luckily.

Borrowed some headlights off a mate until my depo came. And fit the new bumper reinforcer.

Straightened out bottom of slam panel. Was wet so couldn't paint the bare metal, covered it in spray grease till summer then I'll paint it all.

Found a bumper in a local scrappy, pre 97 too, mint con so snapped that up.

Got a 4 branch off ebay, £100 brand new, paint came off straight away though!

Then my new depo came, so I've gotta smoke that now, and get an arch trim for front passenger side.

And Mum and Dad got me a private plate for christmas , Full name: Carl Anthony Johnson.

Cheers all. And Merry Christmas!
