No the unlocking if done by a network is something to do its the serial number. Although you could have jailbroken and unlocked it for free! Shame the jb took so long

just got untethered , already had tethered using redsn0w and just downloaded corona 5.0.1 and worked first time not messing around needed

My phone completely crashed last night, installed an app from cydia and hit respring and it just got stuck in a black loading screen.
Had to do a restore, lucky I had an hour old backup on iCloud

hate it when that happens .
only problem im having is when i get a call i press answer and it goes mad resprings and takes a couple of minutes and have to call the person back

You'll have something installed in cydia thats not compatable with your ios.
Good news for ipad 2 and 4s owners pod2g said might have jailbreak next week.
Stay on 5.0.1 though.

yeh i thought that but normally when something installed via cydia which isnt compatiable it just goes into safe mode

Sandox broken
Here are some news about the current work on the A5 research.
@planetbeing escaped from the sandbox with the help of @saurik. Thanks to their awesome work, there should be nothing left blocking for the A5 jailbreak.
Now it should be a matter of days. Still no precise ETA of course.
We all want this to be finished ASAP, we're getting tired!

I dont think I'm even bothered now, I'm used to my iPad as it is and jb'ing my 4 was that much hassle I've left it locked up.

any links on which is best to use, ive got a iphone 4s on iso 5 and a ipad 2 on 5.0.1 they they both be done unteathered?
can i do the 5.0.1 update on my iphone and still get the jailbreak?

done i searched on google and seen i can do the update to 5.0.1 on my phone so i did that and just done the jailbreak, ill do my ipad tonight as its at my girlfriends

quick question for you guys. my mate got a upgrade so has given me his old iphone 3g on 02. im with orange so tried to jailbreak it so I could unlock it to orange.
Its on 4.21, I jailbreaked it using redsnow and upgraded the baseband to 6.15 the ipad one. However when I go into cydia to find ultrasnow to unlock it so I can use my orange sim in it, ultrasnow isnt there.
Also I have checked a few websites and you can download ultrasnow from cydia but the wifi on the phone doesnt work
Anyone got any ideas on what to do? Ive spent about 3 hours this afternoon arsing about with it and not got anywhere, hopfully one of you iphone fans can help me out here, cheers
