I don't get how air intake keeps melting on you two's cars My Saxo VTR (Pretty similar engine to your 8v, didn't melt it at all Oh, and aye the 8v's do tend to sound tappety. It's the same with the afore mentioned VTR. I've never known one NOT to tap.

My standard one only melted because the cold air feed that runs under the slam panel fell off and attached itself to the manifold Chris' one melted on the manifold too after him giving it death to get it through the MOT iirc, the cold airfeed on the racelands are pretty close to the manifold arent they.

Hence the reason I'm not going to buy another to butcher and then melt

Also, breather filter has stopped the awfull stench of fumes that were petruding as it was just getting vented straight out of the pipe into the engine bay for 2 days.

Well, no update really apart from I'll be ordering the pugsport this coming wednesday/thursday and then as soon as that comes I'll be concentrating on the inside, strip most of it out, going to move the immobiliser keypad to the ash tray aswell.

Doesn't say otherwise - Its a gamble I suppose...

Looks pretty smart, but its from Thailand, so could be anything..

Looks very good, so personally i'd take the risk for the money saved - But if you're very particular on whether its genuine or not, just buy a real one

Just get rid of the immobiliser, never mind relocating it

Wheel looks right enough, might get the same for mine.

Quite true, 100% feedback and previous sales of that wheel with that seller, I'm just wary about buying items abroad.

Cheers pal, don't be put off by bad experience, they're not all bad, I've not had any problems yet (touch wood) get one, you can pick up a standard one cheap and if you don't like it get rid of it so much fun to be had.

Aye, they are really tempting.
With my 106 i had a non stop oil leak, did 100 miles to a gallon....Of oil
Heater matrix packed in
Thermostat that went
Exhaust fell off
then the headgasket went taking the engine.

Then with the saxo i had the rear beam go twice on me
power steering pump go
yet another exhaust
then it failed its mot badly!

If you wait for a good example with lots of proof of history then you will be fine or alternatively buy one for a side project like Chris, think his 16v XSI was about £500.

Buying a pugsport tomorow, second hand but a lot cheaper than a new one with delivery on top so I'm happy, leaves me money for something else aswell

Buy a 106 and get them bits fitted. Yes, Chris...about time really I paid for it today. I've got some harnesses coming from B3KAN aswell, well next week anyway.

Pics of it, it's been modified so the CAT can be put on for MOT's.

On the car it's coming off...
