I have a very annoying clicking noise coming from somewhere near my front drivers side wheel, no idea what it is but it gets faster when I drive faster, any ideas?

Is it when the engine revs faster or when the car moves faster? Also what engine is in it?

First of all, check the oil level in the engine. vauxhalls 10. 12v and 1.2 16v engines (x10xe/z10xe and x12xe/z12xe) are nutorious for the timing chains rattling if they have been starved of oil and are a common thing for the tapping sound. Run the engine with the bonnet up and if you can hear a distinct/loud clicking noise coming from the left hand side of the engine bay then you could well need the timing chain replaced.

If it is actually wheel speed related and not engine related like you have said. firstly check your tyre treads, make sure no stones/nails/screws etc are stuck in them. Its also a good idea to jack the car up, check you havent got anything fouling your wheels etc (I have found dead mice behind wheels making funny sounds before now!) If you cant hear/see anything fouling then take the front wheels off, inspect the brakes to check you have sufficient amounts of brake pad/disc left then if you look behind the discs you will see the driveshaft (inparticular the rubber driveshaft boots) These boots can rip/perish/become undone and throw CV grease all over the inside of the wheel etc (black minging shite) If you can see this thick blacky grey grease then its a good chance your CV joint is clicking due to lack of lubrication. If you are still unsure mate, get a professional oppinion on it. Hope this helps

Sounds like cv to me, get underneath it and wobble your drive shaft and then return back to here.
