Just won 2x 3bar map sensors on eBay for £10.50 posted so that should cure the non running issue with one as a spare. Going to look at making a mount on the bulk head and them use rubber grommet type stuff hopefully cure the vibration issue as that's what I think killed it.

Can you not just use your bellhousing?

I don't know about F28s but F20s and F18s have a small casting for end of speedo drive to sit in, inside the box. I don't think just drilling the box and using a bolt on top will secure it properly.

probably could just put my bell housing on it tbh, but id rather keep bearings running into the cups that they previously had been as they won't be new as your can't get them anymore.

one of my older boxes was a converted non speedo drive one, that was alright with a threaded hole for the 10mil bolt. its not a massively strong part with it being a plastic speed drive so really shouldn't take a great deal to keep it in place?

finished painting the gearbox up. its not perfection, but hey, its a million times silvery so I'm well happy.

some jerk knocked the oil breather filter while leaning in my engine bay last weekend and split it, so i thought id give it a bash with some super glue to stick it back together. currently being weighed down by a jar of random nuts.
