Was just a re flash I've not fired it on the dyno yet. Estimate around 230-240bhp and around 380lbft. It's noticeably much faster.

following a thread by oil_p gave the engine bay a bit of a clean up.

trying to polish the inlet plenum up, well i began with some 240grit sand paper, will continue on slowly when I'm bored. a mate has all the polishing stuff to do it on machines but its a nightmare to remove it and re seal it all so i will just have to do it in place really.

oh, and....

yeah, i wore a straw hat to the corsasport rolling road day. looking smooth i must say.

future plans/things to do.....

pedal box which is under the stairs waiting
line lock also under the stairs
fibreglass bootlid
lexan windows
paint headlamp panel as its looking old and shit
re-paint rocker cover as its scabbing with the heat
considering making another down pipe with the screamer back to atmosphere
look into rose joints instead of polybushes on the front end
re-fit oil cooler with std sandwich plate so there is enough clearance away from drive shaft
investigate if its worth changing cams and on to solid lifters for a shade more power and power higher up in the revs
decide upon a new steering wheel as bored of the std gsi one

probably some other things i will do i can't think of right now really.

yeah, so i bought some aero wipers for bmw. must have not read it properly as they're for an 09 onwards 3 series which must have arm covers. so they look like bits are missing. returning them then.......

thanks to Danny w, received an oil cooler sandwich plate, the std one from the engine. now need to get some unions to fit the mocal oil cooler pipes and then i can re fit it all.

possibly buying the rear end and 4x4 stuff from a cavalier turbo at the end of the month. probably won't look into doing it until winter though.

got 2 unions for the oil cooler. they're 1/2bsp one side and m16x1.5 the other.

fit the sandwich plate grand, just hope they fit the pipes for the cooler and that my size guessing is correct!

The standard one is thermostatically controlled anyway so hopefully should be just fine. Will investigate once fitted later this week. May get an oil temp gauge actually as I've only got pressure.

sandwich plate fitted to oil pump with the 1/2bsp - m16 1x5 unions.

loads of clearance for the thermostat part as it points towards the passenger side instead of at the bulkhead.

oil cooler re-attached

special bracket made for the pipes

job done.
