Whats your budget?
Karcher basically for most people.
I've got a Kranzle as I killed my £300 Karcher  The Kranzle is minimalist and is happy to work all day long, day in day out off my water tank. All the fittings are better than the Karcher was too.

So for my new car to get best results its,
rinse - snow foam - rinse - wash - rinse - polish - wax to seal it all in.

the lance itself is not so expensive. but some of the snow foams can work out expensive.
You can buy a 5l snowfoam for around £10 and y6ou only need around 50 to 100 ml in a 1 litre foam lance mixed with water, however this foam for this sort of price isnt oing to work miracles.
A much better foam like bilt hamber is a fair bit more expensive, plus you also need to put more into the lance around 300ml, which though it does a much better job does not work out very cost effective.
Foam lances in the past have also been known have poor fitting connectors mainly to karchers, and they do have a tendancy to corrode in the pipes fairly quickly.

Rich H, the Kranzle is a awsome machine.
People buying Karchers, they need to be looked after and a good tip is to turn the tap on first then let the water go all the way through the machine and out the lance before you turn te machine on.
A good cheaper alternative to the Kranzle would be a Nilfisk available from machine mart

Bullet Proof SRi - I'd argue and say that is pretty cost effective - especially if you do it for a living, the BH foam saves a lot of time per car! Yes it's not as cheap as TFR which it has similar cleaning properties to, but it's far far safer and also good for cars which I have on maintenance plans as it is LSP friendly so works with the layers of wax I have built up on customers cars rather than strips them off. I don't know if you do this for a job or whether you are just interested in this as a hobby. If it's the latter, I can understand why you think it's expensive, but if you do this day in, day out, I don't get why you class that as pricey!

No worries. The one Bullet Proof posted up is good, but you will struggle to find a foam lance that fits ( I think )
Bullet Proof - Fair enough mate, tbf, most snow foams will work fine if you use more of it and have a well maintained car with a few layers of wax on it

BluKoo's brother who does it for a living uses some stupidly expensive Karcher one iirc too lol.
I'd probably invest in one if I had a unit, but my van set up is fine for me atm, I just want to add a generator to my van so I'm toally self sufficient, then I'll be happy!

Yes As said, it is pricey for anybody doing it for a hobby tbh. There is a non heavy duty one which is £4 cheaper

I've had a Nilfisk Alto washer for 3 years now. Always work well. Only thing I had to do was get a heavy duty (3 phase?) extension lead and change the plug to suit as a normal household extension lead couldn't cope

No, despite Auto Express stating you can apply it with a sponge when they tested the Bilt Hamber stuff
