Very very nice mate! You are lucky to even get the photos, got mine done two years ago and still waiting on them after countless times asking for them and being promised! Useless bunch.

*** 5 STUD CONVERSION ***

A while back I bought a 5 stud setup, consisting of converted rear bear to take 5 stud hubs,MTEC bigger driveshafts, motorsport cv's, MTEC Front Hubs.

The first stumbling block i had was that the cv's were for a corsa without abs, so i had to get hold of ones up to the job that would work with abs, I didnt realise the teeth on the cv's was the giveaway, only when i came to convert the front at first they wouldnt go on, when tightened up went flush against the the hub making it unable to move freely. You can see the teeth for the abs on the pics.

First set

New bits

I already saved from the calibra i bought the grooved front discs and calipers, think the discs are 288mm, I then bought a cavalier v6 rear beam with tthe rear hubs attached, stripped that for the hubs, got the corsa converted rear beam powdercoated black, rubbed down all hubs, calipers etc... and hammerited black.

Tuesday 03rd August 2010 - The corsa awaiting its operation lol!

Car up in the air, existing beam removed

New powdercoated converted one fitted

Rear beam bolted back in, V6 rear hubs fitted abs and brake lines connected up

Saturday 05th August 2010 - Fitting the front hubs, New Driveshafts and ABS CV's

Front built up with brakes fitted

Got hold of some 5 stud cavalier turbo fan alloys, had them painted the same as the standard 14's that were in the mag feature,

New tyres Toyo Proxes T1-R 195-40-16

Fitted

Before - (It was just before i took it into work, had to raise it slightly to get it on the ramps)

After

Next was the spare wheel situation, a 4 studs not gonna be much use so I got one of these space savers from work, it'l do the job

Old

New

Once wheels were fitted I had to mess abpout with the suspension to get it right, finished at 11.30pm

Few pics of the conversion and how it looks at the moment

Im just in the process of getting the handbrake sorted, see brick under wheel on last pic

Sunday 06th August 2010 - A couple of little things, bought some chrome door catches and fitted them

Old

New

Then lastly changed the expansion tank lid from yellow to black, before

After

Any comments good or bad always welcome, Thanks for looking!

Thanks for all the comments lads, marklawton - got some inspirations from your old smoke grey sport back in the day, jaimie - thanks for the advice on the conversion, had to bite my tongue and get the m-tec handbrake kit for the gte cable, would have been loads easier if i'd used the astra gsi rear hubs i got off greggsi! Oh well its sorted now, thanks again!
