As the car was at pvs and billing this year, with front bumper cut out and intercooler showing:

I really wanted to keep the stealth look of the car and thought that with the cooler showing it takes this away so ive been busy putting it back to "sleeper" mode...

Trial fitted spare front bumper, so everything was cleared as space is very tight behind and i wanted everything to fit level...Offered bumper up a few times, checking everywhere underneath for clearance...

Fitted new headlight bushes...

Everything was looking good, built up new bumper...

Fitted...

So much happier with the car looking like this, will take some daytime pics, one of the company car LOL!

*Update 13/12/2008 *

Well only a few jobs done that needed doing really, firstly, those of you who have seen the car will recognize how bumpy the ride was, the avos were for a normal corsa not a converted one! The ride height also wasnt as low as i would have liked... This was the front before...

After a discussion with "thegsi" and him telling me how good this setup was with this engine and the 6 speed in i invested in a kit myself,

spax krypton gas kit, rsx shocks, with 285 pound spax springs, the result is amazing, the car is a pleasure to drive again, no skipping cds, ideal.

Fitted...

After...

Probably doesnt look that much in the picture, but in real life looks completely different.

After doin the suspension, fitted my new wipers... lads at work were ravin about these retro fit new style wipers, mate put some on his lexus, it was rainin at the time so thought it was a good idea, standard ones...

New ones...(check the logo!) Phat!

Then on sunday, got a couple of jobs done, replaced rubber on turbo cover...

This side had one..

this side never...

Found a spare bonnet seal to make good use of...

Jobs a gud un!

Couple of the engine, was thinkin of goin bk to red plug cover but not too sure...

Do the plug cover black with red writing to tie in with the turbo cover.

Well havnt had time to update for a while so a few things ive got round to doing...

Cosworth - 31 Actuator, uprated one i had was fine for 12 -14 psi but wanted something that could handle more boost in the hunt for 300bhp! Note the difference in size between the 2...

Before..

New Actuator -31

New Bracket

Difference bewteen the 2..

And after...

Old boy that lives down the road, looks a bit like father christmas, taught my dad mechanics! lol! and my mate who usually passes spanners and sits in his van to keep warm instead of helpin!

Next on the list was a different boost pipe, alloy one i had did the job, but wanted to go for an o.e look with the black hoses, so bought the cavalier item with dump valve outlet.

Before..

New Boost pipe...

Difference between the 2..

And after...

Then to finish off the hoses were the breather pipes...
Old ones..

New..

Difference with new ones..

And fitted..

Then a subtle change was the cover on the distributer cap, never had one, my mate gave me his spare, just tidied the bay up a bit... from this ..

To this...

Was getting a bit dark, but with those bits done..

The next change was tiny, just replaced the real blue headlight bulbs with higher power normal ones..from..

to..

Then as much as i loved the polished bits in the engine bay, i wanted a bit of a change so had the rocker cover painted, and the addition of a new plug cover...

As it was..

And how it is now...

.

Wanted to try and keep the car original in some ways but just tweek it slightly to how i want it, so decided on going with the smoke grey/Black/Smoked look, and had the wheels painted the same as the rocker cover...

As they were before..

And how they are now...

.

Apologies for the picture quality, taken with a g600! lol!

Well thats it for now, il try an update more often as this takes forever lol!

A few pics from the WM meet on sunday 08/02/2009 and with thegsi's too.
