Update

This weekend i decided to start a major service on the car. This included the following.
- Cambelt
- Tensioner
- Waterpump
- Coolent and oil change including oil filter and magnetic sump bolts
- All belts
- Spark Plugs

On saturday me and the old man started work. got the car all jacked up and set up a gazzebo as the weather was so bad. we first attempted to losen/undo the pulley bolt. What a pain, it took over 2hrs to remove the bolt and that included using the proper tool and a windy gun. In the end a 4ft bar with me sitting on one end and dad lifting the other end was the only way. Once this was removed we could get to work, rocker cover was removed and all belt and covers to get to the cambelt. That was the end of the saturday. On the sunday we then fitted a genuine honda cambelt, tensioner and waterpump. filled it back up with coolent and started to rebuild the integra. We then started it

The belts are in a bad state so atm i am trying to source some new ones but being an import its causing an issue My new ngk spark plugs turned up today along with my Silkolene Pro S 5w-40 oil both to be fitted at the weekend along with the new belts and plugs.

Here are a few pics of the weekends progress.

Cheers MJ

Update

Just a small update on the ITR from the last few weeks.

Last week i fitted a new battery tie down and the neoform wipers, no pics sorry.

Today i fitted a new steering wheel. The aftermarket wheel before was a bit too small so i decided to get a wheel the same size as the standard oem honda wheel as i could not find a decent 96 spec wheel for good money. So yesterday i picked up a momo jet wheel from halfords for a good price, so decided to give it a go. Sadly the thumb bits were silver carbon fibre, and the center bit is silver, would of prefered the black version but for the price i could not complain. it didnt come with bolts or horn but i have that from the momo before.

Here is a pic of the wheel fitted.

I wasnt too happy with the silver so i changed the thumbs bits to black carbon using some film i had left from my early car years lol. i will also be spraying the center black to give it a more OEM honda look.

Here is the finished artical

Hope you like
