Work Done In Order

After searching a good few weeks looking for a coupe i seen this one and put it in my watch list.when the auction was coming to an end i put the kettle on and sat with my bid.put a random amount in and WON

these are the pics he supplied with the ad

the auction ended on 31st july,i then sorted out my travel.opted for the train journey so my dad could come along with me and have a look over it.

day of purchase 06/08/2008

trains were delayed in birmingham which ment our 2 hour journey became a 6 hours journey

i got the car home ready for cleaning

now i knew it needed abit of work on just little things (sensors playing up etc etc) but my dad used to work at longbridge so it didnt worry me.i know people slate the rover as a "HGF" car but as i say i wasnt worried one bit.

little tacky mods that needed sorting were as follows

wood tape everywhere & tacky phone holder

minimal rust

blue door handle(prone to snapping)

and dirt

soon sorted that & the tacky bits

i then went my local scrappy and bought some bits it needed to tidy it up including....

ariel
spark plug cover
dipstick
cig lighter
boot light

etc etc

all for £5

this all happened on the 7th august 2008

then came the morning of the 8th,i took it to the polish people to clean the inside as it was abit mucky after sitting under a tree for 2 years.

that made it look 10x better.

i then sourced some leather interior for £200 in norwich on a rover forum im on.i soon got my cash out and went the 300+ mile round trip to pick them up and have them fitted

i will update on the latest bits.comments welcome

Basically i was right as you said the price of tax and car never mentioned travel costs

and on ebay you can search for completed listinbgs by date.

No stalking involved

Yep but the main part in modding is take your time and give yourself time to plan it because there is no point in finishing it all in a week hence why its a project
