can pick these up for about 6k now on a 04 plate. That's quite cheap! What are the performance like on these? I know they're a bit girly but what do you think of these? Looking for an upgrade on the 106 and as the rx8 is quite cheap seems a good choice? Opinions?

press gave them a good review but we have had customers in at work with them and they dont like them .. think its mainly the crap mpg

the 190bhp (most of em) really arent that fast and IMO they look nasty... Personallt not a fan but others obv will be

the 230bhp ones are very quick mind

cant argue with 6k tho

Don't bother with older ones mate....Seriously, i used to work at Mazda.

Use shit loads of oil
Use shit loads of fuel
Aint that fast
Recall on oil cooler pipes which affected most cars
Engines need either rebuilds or replacing at around 60K bare in mind this is not with ALL RX8's but put it this way they had one in a day were i was getting done.

lol, so not worth getting one then? I was looking at a 04 plate? I really liking them now, aslong as they're reliable cars?

Well I did the Mazda drive thing at the British Motor show yesterday and judging by the way some of the instructors were show boating it around on the little test track its no way a girls car IMO

Just think its a great price for the money TBH...... Just checking on the owners club what goes wrong etc so I know what to expect! As having a french car is very unpredictable.

I was going to say as well, woman at work just sold her 54 plate for getting on £12k. Low mileage and well cared for, but anything for £6k is going to be a shitter and dying for a rebuild.
