Ronaldo has come out and said his premiership future is over and he decided a long time ago that he is gonna join Madrid

When asked by Portuguese sports website Record.pt about a possible future at Real Madrid, he replied, "The possibilities are great, but like I said it does not depend on me.

"Over the coming days we'll see if we can reach an agreement."

"I have many desires. Over the coming days, we'll see if we have news," he smiled.

It's maybe a good thing in the long run, Barcelona know all too well what happens when you hang onto a star for too long, defenders find ways of working you out, however from C.Ronaldo's point of view, Man Utd is his only source of success, because he'll not win a World Cup or Euro for years and he won't win anything in Europe with Real, domestic only.

His lack of respect in saying he made the decision ages ago is quite staggering tbh, Fergie will be absolutely fizzing.

Real Madrid will need to expand the Bernabeu to accomodate the new Irish/Asian/London contingent.

Nah, they wont turn down a big offer.

Although I think by Ronaldo coming out and saying he wants to move it will push the price down, as United wont want to keep him if he wants to move.

Think of the players they could bring in, Robinho as part of the deal? Huntelaar would be a good buy, I'd like to see Huntelaar and Tevez upfront.

There's not 1 player in the planet that would replace him for goals and entertainment.

The 1 guy that has the ability and has lost his way is looking for a club at the moment actually

Ronaldinho to Old Trafford anyone?

Agreed. As for replacements, huntelaar would be a big risk imo, noone else really springs to mind save villa

Rooney is not the prospect he was made out to be, he's good don't get me wrong but not consistantly good.

I've always thought that but there's very few forwards with his unbelievable work rate and desire to win, Tevez is actually another. He still has a near enough a 1 in 2 strike rate which is brilliant for a guy that plays all across the front of the park.
