Where you shooting remotely Gaz?

I took a walk along Llanfairfechan coastline yesterday. I managed to capture this sunburst emerge over Snowdonia.

Mate came round with his telescope yesterday, so took a few nerdy photos, he doesn't have a camera friendly viewer, so struggled a bit, but got some nice moon ones







And then this blurry mess (taken through my camera on a tripod) is Jupiter and a few of it's moons. Not a good photo, but was impressed I could capture the moons through a 70-300 lens on my camera. Really need a high MP body to make these any better (Or a big fuck off lens)

Not a bad effort Cavey. A little soft but for a first attempt thats not bad at all I would recommend some faster glass rather than a new body. Whats the spec of the lens you used?

Its a cheap(ish) 70-300 tamron, on a cheap tripod, only got a 6mp body though, so even on full zoom, I Stoll have to crop it massively to get that kind of photo. Was still pretty amazed I could see the moons at all tbh though, so was quite happy!
