Looks very good does that. Thought it was a GTi.

Still prefer the 1.8 SRi. Someone got a bargain.

Remap time. standard was good enough but thought I would waste a few hours....

Started with a standard 105 bhp ecu map file, downloaded that and converted it to a read write file. Then uploaded a writable generic map file (this is the type of file you would get with a generic flash remap) and wrote this to the ecu. this gave good enough gains but we now had a good stable base map to improve from whilst the car is live mapped on the dyno.

The gains over the generic map are rather shocking, with as much as 35 ft/lb being gained at 2300 rpm over the generic map and 66 ft/lb over standard

at 1700 rpm the engine has gained almost 60 bhp over both the generic map and the standard one.

lets see how long the clutch lasts...................

no, didnt expect it to without some bits off the 130. no matter what I tried I couldnt get any more out of it, on the limits of the turbo size I think. Injectors had more to give though.

you could dean, once you have the equipment. TBH mapping isnt rocket science, especially on diesels. Petrols are a LOT more difficult as you have ignition timing, fuel burn rate etc... to take into consideration.
