Fiesta ST is a proper crap car. It's an embarressment to the 'ST' badge and all that everyone hears is that it's got 150 bhp and a 2.0 16v.

I think it must be the slowest 150 bhp 2.0 16v in existance. It's shocking how that car is a hatch back, with 150 bhp, but so slow.

I hate so many modern cars, they're all soooo heavy. A Astra VXR needs 240 bhp to pull it along just to get it to be slightly quicker than some 90's hot hatches.

the new st thats beeing reviwed is the st185, which is an st150 with an optional mountune pack on it

as said, it isn't exactly a modified car as such, because it's just an upgrade pack from standard.

who cares if the st150 is slow for what it is? it's not all about out right speed and power but how you drive it that makes it a great experience.

you can't tell me that speed counts for much down twisty country lanes?

point is, corsa vxr would handle just as well and go quicker down the straights... Corsa VXR should've been contested against the Fiesta St150 in a shoot out... as they're both in the same 'class' as the hottest hatch of that model.

Instead they got an Sri which is probably classed as a 'comfortable, semi sporty car for every day use...' so obviously it won't be as focussed on a track as a fiesta St is.

St185 vs Corsa VXR and VXR will win imo.

The SRi is a luke warm hatch aimed to be softer. So the ST is also in the same bracket too in terms of price, performance and being a luke warm hatch.

The ST180 and the VXR Corsa are a good comparison in this case I rather think the standard ST 150 vs the SRi is a good match

As for the ST180 it was thr slowest car in the test between a 197 cup and VXR but it was just more pliable as a track car and it won on the merits of its drive.

Now put all three of them cars on a dry track and the VXR Corsa may be on top i reckon in terms of pace.

Quite, anything up against a Vauxhall, and the Vauxhall will always lose.
