corsa had more straight line speed but the handling let it down badly

Spend £2k more though and match the ST's price and get a VXR and watch the ST have its ass handed to it.
Forced INduction + FWD + Wet track = ALWAYS will understear.
But yeah the Corsa was owned.!

Guess this was in the 1st 20 mins which I missed?
I liked the Lexus but the beeping noise instead of a rev limiter was bloody annoying. Dont see how anyone can think that was a good idea

Know which of the two I would rather own personally having driven both the Fiesta MK6 and Corsa D
The Evo magazine test on the
Corsa VXR
Clio 197
Fiesta ST
Lancia Delta
Had more interesting results and better comparrisons, 5th gear is one of the worst motoring programs made!
April '06' Corsasport Feature Car | Aug '08' Total Vauxhall Feature Car | Spring '09' Fast Car Feature Car

In Evo I got the impression they liked the ST 185 as an all round package over the others.

fiesta st is quite cheap brand new now due to the new model coming out. Its a good handling car as standard but stick some eibach springs on and its brilliant. Good cars but quite heavy.

No No Matty, do you not get it.
To be in the know about cars its all about how fast it goes and "ow much power m8"
Not about the overall package..
This is why Mercs sell so well. Shoddy ass plastic teacups with a dirty great big engine in the front for outright speeds....
Think that new Merc AMG Vs BMW M3 V8 kinda shows it perfectly.

end of the day the Sri isn't the 'racey' spec corsa... the VXR is.
The ST is fiestas 'racey' fiesta model.
Fiesta ST vs Corsa VXR and Corsa would've beat it hands down.

Sorry I thought i'd elaborate on that a bit further.
Fiesta ST is a proper crap car. It's an embarressment to the 'ST' badge and all that everyone hears is that it's got 150 bhp and a 2.0 16v.
I think it must be the slowest 150 bhp 2.0 16v in existance. It's shocking how that car is a hatch back, with 150 bhp, but so slow.
I hate so many modern cars, they're all soooo heavy. A Astra VXR needs 240 bhp to pull it along just to get it to be slightly quicker than some 90's hot hatches.

well you are saying the st150 is fords racey spec car, no its not the st185 will be
so the sri and st150 are in the exact same market
the st185 and vxr corsa are comparable
