It's not been apart but it's had rollers, cam belt, new hoses etc. mostly due to the original hoses not being suitable Carbs and suitable inlet manifold were new as well.

Not sure how many hours in total. That pic of Ste and I on the floor sitting in the chassis was 2003 but Ste has spent a lot of time away in the RAF. He did say that 9-5 every day if he had all the bits to hand he could box it off within a month. Building on a budget slows it down, as does wondering what to do. There's a few bits he's fitted then changed later to do it better. You need to put a bit of thought in to it and a lot is prototyping fabricated bits.

Would love to do something like this in the future, give me something to do on long winter nights, as long as I've got a big heater

Nice. I must admit, that's one of the nicest looking Robin Hoods Ive ever seen. My Dad has had 2 Westfields and oh my god are they fun. He had an orange and black 1 and a yellow and black one, the orange one was the best, had a tuned 1600 CVH in it, running around 135bhp but even so it was damn quick, and the noise! So wish he hadnt sold it. The new owner took it on a trackday and wrote it off We saw the pictures and almost cried, all that time spent building it for him to go and write it off! Hope you have fun in it, and good luck for SVA, it's like mission impossible getting it to pass!
