Just as well built quality wise as any modern day car IMO, so if someones happy to pay £20+k for a golf, why not for an Astra?

The badge???

Im sure the car is good, im in no way doubting that but 21K to spend, an Astra would not even spring to mind.

Getting boring though in comparison to the astra and the megane.

If you go to work in a suit though, the golf is

Because the Golf will hold it's value while the Astra will be half that in a couple of years. I had a brand new Corsa SRi, paid £12,300 new was worth book price £6K just over 2 years later, in excellent cond and only 16,000 miles. Someone picked up a bargain. Vauxhall prices plummet

18K for a brand new Nurburgring

Boomshanka. See, Damien always writes (what he believes to be) the truth

The Nurburgring also comes with 'Full Leather Interior' which is why its slightly more than the normal vxr i do like the white vxr to be honest and just under 18k mmm

get a pre registered car if your ever buying new

it IS a brand new car with the older reg an probably about 2k cheaper, which is what you loose as soon as you drive a new reg away from the fourcourt

If any upgrades are carried out by Thorney Motorsport then warrenty is still valid as they're registered with Vauxhall one way or another

No but it looks alot more respectable and it'll hold its value better. Plus you wouldn't be embarrassed being seen it

Doesn't that depend on the mentality of the driver Matty?

I'd be perfectly happy in a VXR over a GTi - quicker and cheaper and still going to be very reliable.

I'd be looking at a 3/4 year old S2000 for that money though

Yep it does. Same with the Focus ST, I prefer it to the VXR but its still a bit of a boyracer image attached to it.

A mate had a Nurburg on order. RRP is £20995 iirc, but my mate has one ordered at a touch under £16500. Standard, out of the box.

Iceman - If your serious about a vxr, search for Lord Nikon over on AOC, his is for sale @ £16500 with a huge spec and running over 300bhp + Big brakes, retrim, install, Nitrous, Recaros etc.. worth every penny
