Well, was breaking it, then a nice fella turned up with an engine for me for a really good price, so, old engine is stripped down so theres just the block & box in there, new engine is getting cleaned up.

Just waiting for the engine crane to turn up then i can take the old one out & pop the new one in, wire it up & give it a go.

Fingers crossed as i need the car out of my dads garage as he is retiring! I'm holding him up as there is nowhere else for the car to go

Been off the road with a fubar'd engine since april, get it back on the road just in time for no shows & crap weather.

Huzzah.

Tax at end of month methinks

Gave it a wash, polish & wax, took it for MOT, passed, parked it outside, rained for 10mins, took it inside, stopped raining

Can't wait to get out & use the bloody annoying thing now. New engine has been fitted & it runs soooooo much nicer than the old one, good times.

Not updated this in a while. Not long after the last post the rings on number 3 & 4 went.

Sat on the drive since as we have moved house.

Going in for engine number 3 tomorrow. No more buying cheap unknown engines. Getting a good, well known & very recently rebuilt engine to go in, keep it for a few months then get shot as baby due in june, and with new house etc etc just a shame for it to be sitting around gathering dust.

Engine in, no dramas!

Drives like a different car, soooooo much better, feels more responsive & smooth through revs, pulls nicely too.

Will get soem pics when she gets a bath & polish.

I think they were knackered before i got them, both went under 500miles. 1st was shells fitted wrong & killed crank, 2nd was rings 3 & 4. Bad luck buying them, but this is a mates, and was owned by a mate before that, its done 1k since rebuild with gm parts so ive got a good feeling about this one.
