Performance Car Action Day Saturday 19-April 2008

Myself and vegasphil are looking to see if there is a interest from members at the next Action Day happening on the 19th April at Castle Combe - This is a great opportunity to get a taste of track action and also meet up/be part of a show before the big events that are PVS and Trax.

What were aiming to do is have both a corsasport.co.uk and also a weekendracer stand, this is to allow both corsa owners and non corsa owners to get involved in the day and also more importantly get out on track

We do need both clubs to be approved to take part in the day, which is ongoing at the moment

Action Days are cost effective themed car track days where you can drive your road legal car around the demanding Castle Combe Circuit.

If its road legal, has four wheels and an engine chances are it will be eligible for our Performance Car Action Day. Displays from some of the largest performance clubs, stands with lots of tuning parts and accessories and you have the reason why this day is so popular. Look out for trophies for the best car and best club stand of the show. Open to anyone with a suitable car and current driving licence.


We have been given a maximum number of 15 cars for Eachstand due to Castle Combe’s space restraints, so if you are interested in coming along and can make the date please register your interest below. If we go over the 15 for either stand, I’ll push for more spaces if there is enough intrest

Location:

The circuit is situated close to Junctions 17 & 18 of the M4 motorway and is clearly signposted using the brown tourist signs marked with a chequered flag. London is approximately 90 miles, Birmingham 80 miles and Cardiff 60 miles.

Costs:

£8 entry to the event, and £20 for a track session between 15-20mins long, the track sessions are likely to be between 9am and 11am and after 4pm, we are aiming to get all our members out at the same time, the length of the sessions are long enough to get a taste of a track session, whilst not putting your car or yourself under to much strain

Requirements - PLEASE READ

All drivers must attend a safety briefing, helmets are compulsory (these can be hired on day), seat belts must be worn, arms and legs must be covered, cars must be silenced to 100db and must be to MOT safety standards. Safety is paramount and full track and safety rules will be sent with all tickets and are available on the day from the Organisers Office. YOUR CAR WILL BE NOISE TESTED ON THE DAY.


Date/Time:

Saturday 19th April, you will need to be there early to attend a compulsory safety briefing. Aim to arrive at 8am.

Good work Jr ! One question...

Are the stands just to park up in the paddocks and to determine which site you are racing with, and to rest between races? or are they for show cars?

My car is a whore and is no "show car", so i'd rather not take up a space on the stand from some one with a decent car, if it's intended for show cars.

remember, if you have yours, your be on weekend racers stand, and that is all about track stuff
