Started off with buying some new springs which were ment to take the wee frenchie down 55mm but after fitting them it lowered it the same 30mm it was lowered before,so now i have two pairs of the same spring so...........lets get the grinder on a set

Started out with the worlds longest extension lead

the usual suspects

Quick check to make sure its french

Let the fun begin

only took one coil off the tighter progressive side so ride is the same only bout 8mm lower so mite chop another off

not a good idea cutting springs, can fracture the structure and make them weaker, as well as altering the poundage also they are designed so the last ring sits flat in the cup, so they might not be sat quite right, will probably be ok, but its a bit of a shit bodge

Cut springs.

The boyracer of boyracer mods to make the car "slammin innit".....

I've never seen any cut springs snap, ever....*Sarcasm*...... Still, if your happy to run the risk of ruining the car for a set of £50 springs then up to you guys.

heat destroys springs, cutting doesn't.

only if they don't seat correctly.

cut springs aren't a problem, they're not ideal, but I've seen oval racers running on them with no issues.......
