One sill finished with its jacking points added. Then it was welded on and the rear wing cut to suit.

Onto the otherside sill now!

Good god! This boy is a bloody genius.

Does he weld for a living or has all this come from practising on his own projects?

No, just what he has picked up from his dad (who also isn't a welder)

Should see some more updates fairly quickly, he's on his second day of two weeks off work, so progress should pick up over the next week or so!

As close to 1000kg as possible I believe. There are a few in the 900kg's but don't have as much cage etc as this one.

One of the rear arches is now just about done. It needs a little more welding and a good tidying up with the grinder and then it will be onto the otherside. There has been a lot more work in getting it sorted than he ever thought there would be! It didn't help that the fibreglass arch was bent inwards at the back, so ended up adding a fillet to the inner arch to push it out another 50mm.

He has also sorted out a couple of bits of rust and cut the sill for the exhaust to sit in.

So onto the pics:

Proper arches

Chopped out the original sill / chasis rail first for the exhaust:

Onto the other arch now. It wont take anyware near the same time as its a better mould, no exhaust cut out to make, and know what to do now!
