I know the engine runs, I mean was it driven in to the show room?

Is it going to be made road legal at all?

Was trailered down as no MOT, was driven into hall and runs fine! Few jobs to finish and will be MOT'd and used and abused!

by far the best car there, was stunning.
Only other cars which stood out for me was the other SWB audi and the 4x4 Golf Mk1 Drag Car.

I was down on the sat helping a few guys with there cars and a friend setting up a stall.

Had a good look round it aswell. I heard the problems of getting in the hall late.

Not done much since UD had a little break from working on it. Back on it now though sorting the issues from the first drive. The main issue from the drive was the lack of brakes. Mostly down to removing the servo and the standard pedal set up not having a high enough ratio. To sort this I bought a tilton pedal box from a mate. This also meant he could get rid of the compbrake set up which was crap.





To get them to sit far enough forwards he made a false floor. Made it nice and strong as the standard set up had been flexing the bulkhead.







All mounted up. Ordered new brake lines but they turned up with the wrong ends so they will be sorted next weekend.





Removing the compbrake set up has freed up a lot more space in the bay. The brake lines will also be re routed out of the bay.



He will be making an alloy plate to rest his feet on next. Hoping the new set up works better than the old one!

The next part of the brakes was to sort the discs. It was just running on some crap pattern discs that fitted under 15" wheels. He had a measure up and ordered 4 315mm AP racing discs to go under the 16" wheels. Then machined some alloy bells to the same offset as the patern discs so he could use the same brackets with a spacer.







Nice and tight!



Next it was onto machining some rear caliper brackets for the porsche calipers which he milled on the laithe.

Again couldn't get any bigger brakes in!



So thats where its up to...

The wiring is almost finished and its ready for an MOT. The mapping will hopefully be happening in the first couple of weeks in May
