Bearing in mind i have no debt atm.

I am thinking about getting a new car.

The finance owed on it wouold be about 9 thousand. I will be keeping the car for 4 years.

What experiences have you had with finance?

i'm on finance now. owe 11,200 over 3 years.

only pay 210 a month, very easy payments

Yes I was 19, seemed a great idea at the time, payments were £240 a month, £60 of that was interest.

Insurance was £1800 aswell

Well mine won't be a brand new car and I can easily afford it. Just wondering if anyone has had any bad experiences with it.

best thing i did, got to boot about in gsi's at 18 etc. Now im old (well 24)and buying a house so i cant have any finance really. If thers a car you want do it before things like houses, birds and babies get in the way.

i got finace for both my cars then got a lone at a cheper apr and payed the finace off

you didn't, just the fact i'm 19, my insurance is high and about same monthly payments - £30

The only bad thing i can think of would be -

If youve baught a car and paid for it and you have money troubles then you can cut down on things like petrol etc and save money,

But with finance i would of thought ud have to come up with the payments every month not sure how it works someone will know.

my mates got a focus on finance.

i wouldn't touch it with a barge pole personally...

you're paying more for something than you need to just because you can't afford to buy it properly in the first place.

you can always sell the car and pay off the loan/finance if you get into difficulty.

Took out a 7k loan couple of years ago for my 172. Now i owe about 3.5k with a car worth 5k.

i can afford to buy my fiesta, i just didn't have that sum of money at the time. also had no car and had only just started at ford's so i was buggered basically

i'm in no hassle at all, all i know is i have to work 1 week a month to pay my car finance and insurance then the other 3 weeks is my own money.

Banks can often lend on 6-7%, more if your a good customer.
