Glad its finally sorted dude, Tapping will be there when cold at least, few miles and a oil change or two will soon cure it.

Is the bottom end still knocking slighty? I presume it is.

Bring the petrol and matches down to me then? lol

Bottom end is fine mate. That noise you could hear in the vid has gone now woop! The tapping seems to be coming from the top. But as said it should quieten down when its been given a proper run

Yep petrol and matches are no longer needed here

I think he was borderline suicidal when that bolt rounded He's glad its nearly done now though yeah so he can get back to working on his own car again.

Mark, drop us a quick text before you come round, working saturday so sunday is probably best

Dale

Its a hell of a lot of work Adam but it would be worth it. It must have huge sentimental value to you seeing as you've had it so long

Cheers Ollie!

Matt Don't temp me lol

Made some pretty good progress today We firstly fitted a brand new drive belt and tensioner. Went on nice on easy with no dramas which was suprising considering my previous luck Next we had to extend the wiring for the temp sensor and it wouldn't reach. After that was sorted we removed the cat and second half of the manifold as it was blowing like a bitch! Refitted it all and its much better now

Everything was sorted then So it was time for it to come off the stands and take it for its first drive. God I was bloody nervous I dont know why, just worried about something going wrong I guess it but drives lovely! I only took it round the estate and drove it like a granny. So much nicer to drive than my 106 though. The gear change etc is so much tighter and power steering...omg how the hell did I ever live without this Love it!

Next up me and my dad refitted the heater panel and my headunit, sub etc and gave the inside a general tidy up as I had crap everywhere in it!

Pic time! Excuse the height of the rear, got my -40's back in at the minute for the mot

The raceland manifolds going a nice goldy purple colour as well

Finally I did a quick vid of it now its running spot on. The rattle sound is the backbox hitting the rear bumper, I need to make the recess a bit bigger when I get chance.

Bloody love the sound of the exhaust though! Super quiet just cruising about but when you give it some revs it comes alive with the inlet and viper

Hope you guys like it. Should be some more updates soon!

Congrats mate! Really really smart engine bay. Once the manifold has got some real heat it'll all turn a pearly purple/gold colour and looks mint!
Fair play Shaun
