To all those that love this car:- get off the bandwagon! OK its VAG so has decent build quality, it is still an ugly, boxy 5 door hatch with fancy seats from the 90's.

Just like Emo's, because its different doesn't make it cool!!!! You don't see people going around bumming the Chevrolet Kalos because its part of GM!!!

Shut up.

It's only ugly if you happen to think that, I love the way it looks, very aggressive.

5 doors also, doesn't bother me, who cares

Build quality is quite good yes.

I bought one because I liked it and its a really good car, not to be different.

Would be good if you could afford one to knock it back wouldn't it.

Ugly as sin imho, the lights and front grill are tacky. **zips flame suit**

BTW this will obviously be the new best car in the world now, you do all realise that don't you?

I have one as a daily drive!

Its fantastic, does 52-58mpg on a run and yet i've still seem 150 on the clocks (142 on road angel) and is as quick as mates Cooper S through the gears and yet just insurance group 9 and cheaper Tax... also handles well although mine is lowered (stupid ride height as standard).

The best alrounder money can buy IMO hence why I have one.

Only big downside is wooful brakes when pushed hard.... Nothing a 312mm TT upgrade doesn't sort though

I feel that the fact steve bought one has posioned comments on this thread. IF it were another member i feel the thread would have taken a different direction.

Never on any car forums have i seen this car take such a hiding comments wise.

Its a damn good buy imo, and a superb all rounder. Certainly better then any corsa vauxhall have produced imho of course.

Looks are opinion, the fact its a great car for what it is isn't really. It's economical, built well and goes well.

Nice car, lot of car for the money. Don't know the factory spec on one, but a friend of mine had a black one as his second car. Had it re-mapped, and it was stupidly quick! Certainly suprised a lot of cars The return in terms of mpg, and the VAG build quality means these cars are an absolute steal second hand imo. Good buy steven

Here my one...
Only slighty Modded at the moment

And here she is on the Modball Rally earlier this year

And on the way to the Nurburgring last month

Like I said earlier, great car. Can only fault it on its standard brakes at the moment and thats it!

Yeah i agree with a lot of things that have been said but i'll give my input seeing as i've owned one

I was pretty impressed by the power but to be honest somtimes it seemed rapid but then other times the way it delivered the power pissed me off All or nothing diesel.Found out that sort of thing didn't appeal to me.I suppose you could REVO it etc but unless i had a 3 year warrenty and knew i was getting rid before it was up i wouldn't bother as mine had a new box at 30k!

Interior was a nice place to be and the new special edition leather interior is mint! If i bought another i would make sure it had a few more toys..Cruise/Xenons especially.

Handling was ok due to the stiff set up..barkes were decent..

As for the fuel economy!!! I thought it was pretty shit TBH on the Mway's it was good but around town it did the same as my VTR does now.

Oh and they hold there price well!
