just got back in the last hour.

the weekend went great actually, a little hickup with the car which im yet to identify but its something and nothing i think..

unfortunatly i only managed 1 video of me driving and it was on my 2nd time out (first time after sighting laps) so my lines are actually quite an embarrasment tbh. i was much quicker in the 2nd half of the day but it was good.

some where near elland road stadium i was sat in traffic going to the football match when you went past

i know many of seen this anyway but i just wanted to keep it all updated.

Ready for the National meeting and 1st trackday

after the track the cat failed so i had to knock the bugger out



now the car smokes a bit from cold, i thought it might of been something else but had it all checked and its running fine.

Gaz Monotubes

I bought some gaz monos after selling my gold pros to a forum member but only just got them now, I drove mikes car at lemans with these shocks and they were excellent a lot more compliant over bumps and on the road a much better feel



I also got some powerflex bush inserts for the front and rear gearbox mounts which should reduce the strain of the side mounts

today was a day of diffuser sorting..

after messing about with the mayo in the engine cover i decided that the back of the clam where the diffuser goes was just not up to the job anymore and looked crap so decided to attach the diffuser good and propper.

i dont have many pics but here is the bit i cut off



you can see how cracked and damaged it had become from the bolts

this should actually aid cooling

this is all in place


you can see here how much of the bolt i have left so i can raise and lower it..



All the bolts are just zinc plated or just crap i found in the garage so im going to go shopping for some nice new stainless bolts and redo them all and im going to get the brace bar powdercoated too.

just having a general tidy up of the car and sorting little niggles out ready for combe.

first thing i did was tidy the garage and get some space.. i hate having no space in the garage so plans are in place to make it bigger.



sprayed the front grill and tow bar thing

during


took my spoiler mounts off and gave them a quick spray


also the uprights

there are a couple of runs in them so ill just sand them out and give them another coat

fitted the new heater pipe so now i get lots of hot air


and stuck the performance box under the dash so its not as obvious when i drive out of the pitlane on trackdays

it hasnt fallen off yet but im expecting it to.

thats it so far today, will be doing an oil change and other bits n pieces before combe

yea, going to get 20 metres of hexis in lime green and get it wrapped..

you can see how bad the paint is
