The G60's look good on - Caddy Van centre caps fit straight on those wheels and only cost £3.60 each.

Shep, it'll be an OMP system, will look similar to how it does now but I think it might be a little bigger.

Paul, get it done before the roads are salted dude

Ecosse Sport, do you have a part number for those? and are you the bluloop with the incredibly nice Raven Lupo GTI with the special boot and the shiny BBSs?

I don't have the part number, sadly that lupo isn't mine. I just took that image off a post Bluloop made on our local vw forum.

Had to throw the 16v engine away the other day, can't take it with me when I move house and I have no garage, to rebuild it to the spec I wanted would have cost me about £4k all in anyway, so I'm going to go another way with it.

I'll either be going for a 1.8 20v non turbo on some big carbs, or a standard ish G60, which will be cheaper, but possibly less reliable.

Anyway, I've just been looking at pics, I'd forgotten how it started and how far it's come

I know they're performing a function but I just can't bring myself to think that the G60's look good

New wheels should be spot on though!

I've been spending a few quid on eBay tonight for a few bits that I needed/wanted.

I've already done the bushes on the linkage, but there's some play in the 'in car' part, so I needed this as well.

New reverse light switch in an attempt to get them working again.

Brand new VW rain tray cover, I've been looking at these on eBay for a while, thought I might as well get one as mine is a bit tatty.

I'm also watching 2 more items, one of them is a gear linkage, which appears to have a completely new rubber ball thing on (if anyone knows what I mean? ) and the other one is an interior bit I've never seen for sale, so I thought I might as well (I'll post it when I've won it though, don't want anyone beating me to it)

I've also replaced the 100W multi-coloured bulbs in the headlights with normal 60W candlelight ones, which I can see as being a mistake as they work about as well as the sidelights.

Oh, and I've lost one of the little bolts which hold the front plate mount on, so I'm currently chancing it with no front plate

I might buy a few more things too, if I can find anything I like. (I've had to stop myself buying a Zender rear spoiler, I know it'll look crap, but I really want one anyway )

I really hope the gear linkage bits make my linkage toight like a toiger again, but I think I'm hoping for too much there

I also filled it up with antifreeze so it should be perfick for the winter, and I fitted my new glovebox catch (which took over 5 weeks to arrive , as the old one had fallen apart and the glovebox rattling was driving me mental)

I'll post the pics of the other bits tomorrow

Just bought some of them too, they stop the edges of the vents peeling in the future.

Fitted the linkage repair stuff today just after it turned up.

What a fucking ballache Took me about 3 hours to do as I couldn't get the old bits off, then the new bits wouldn't go on and I put something in the wrong way and had to start again

Anyway, it's LOADS better now, it actually goes into 1st instead of reverse, and you can get second when you come down from third

Got the speaker fade switch too, and it doesn't seem to fit in the hole properly
