me too.

Sunday i can pick up my c20xe engine parts. next week i can pick up my c20let pistons.. Then its just a matter of money to rebuild the engine...

well its been a view weeks ago that i blow up my engine.
All the time i didn't want to look what the damage was..

I have ordend a lot of stuff for the c20xe project..
But when i realised that it is a little bit more expensive then i had calculate i decided to take a look in the 2.0 8v

1 Piston was melted. A little bit of the piston burned in the cilinder..
I found a few pistons and i have cleaned up the cilinder..

On this moment the engine is running again, and i've mounted an Omex Rev Limiter with Launch Controll. I must say when you tap the launch control with full throttle, then it's WAR>>

A lot's of noise with a lot of euhm smoke, fuel and a litlle bit of oil.. haha

now a'm not having any luck.
past sunday a rocker arm broke.

now i'm going to place another one with a special tool. I don't want to take of the cilinder head because 30 miles ago it was rebuild.

A little update,
For 2 month ago, we drove a 13.6 sec on the 1/4mile.. The headgasket diidn't surive it. And now i'm rebuilding the engine. The CR is going down to 8.0:1 and i hope that end of this week the engine will be ready..

Then i will post a new update

Sow, after a long time.
A small update. The ecu of the car have been mapped. We have more HP and torque then a standard C20LET.. Now we 're going to fine tune the map. ALso two rocker arms broke @oschersleben2008. SO we've rebuild teh engine and placed 8 new rocker arms.

Also we want to add a little bit off NOS.
first a shot of 25 hp maybe 50hp.

We have placed new rear rimms, 15" with a wide of 4". And that with a 125 tire.

On the strip a lot of fun

over two weeks we are going to test the engine again. Then we also know the 1/4 mile time.. If the wetter is good..

ok, past week i've also fixed the fuel gauge of the astra digidash. There are 2 wires with the same color in the corsa dash loom..

Know after a few months í can see how much fuel there is in the tank.

a 2.0 8v is fun...
and you can tune the engine to 140-150 hp with no problem.

sow after a lot of problems with again the rocker arms we now hope to found the problem.. We need to retime the camshaft, else the launch control will give serieus trouble

I'm guessing custom mounts where the alternator should be and moved the alternator to the front. I'm planning on putting mine where the PAS pump should be as I have no PAS .

yes, like oliver said. we've mounted the supercharger at the back of the engine. For the alternator we've made a custum mount, this one is placed at the side of the engine...

@Oliver, it's a option to place the supercharger there.. But the space you have is minimum...

Ok,

the engine is still good.
also after 8 or 9 1/4mile runs..

Everything works, only the last run, my knock light keeps on flashing. I put in some fuel, but i think the octane wasn't good..

Also i've bought new slicks..

The M&H racemaster drag slicks..
My 1/4 mile time is now 13.7 sec.. I want to drive a low 13 this year.. maybe we need to spray a litlle bit nos to reach a high 12 sec...
