You'd be pretty shocked sitting at the traffic lights though and that pulled off in front of you.

it wouldnt pull off, sit there spinning then i would then laugh at its lack of ability to actual go around corners

its not all about getting awsome 1/4 times,
the fun would be if someone in say a kitted up 1.4 sport tried to overtake you, and you just drop it down and leave em

That was my thoughts, how many young "boy racers" are you going to piss off at the lights, worth it just to see the face on some people.
Fair play its going to handle like a boat and not be able to corner that well........ who cares its a sleeper !!!

I would be a bit pissed off that a boy racer in a 106 quicksilver pissed all over my 2.0 16v round the twisties!

But if hes left you for shit on the twisties then he wont see your gutted face will he.
Should kill him on the straights though depending on the road of course

I don't actually think Traction would be that bad - 14" wheels were fine for the Astra GTe the engine probably came out of, and with the leaf spring rear suspension (I presume - gonna be rock hard eithe way to account for the load it's designed to carry), weight transfer to the rear will be pretty minimal .

yea but 106 quicksilvers are shit, if i had one the only thing id be pissed of with is the fact i could only afford a fake hot hatch, i certainly wouldnt be happy id only just beaten a van through some twisties
that van is cool, end off

TBH it's no cool. It's funny that someone has gone to the effort of upgrading the engine but has failed to upgrade the suspension.

Its personal opinion !!!!!
I think its a proper sleeper
The thread isnt about what it will and wont beat
Its a cheap, fast(ish) van that wont go round corners as well as a 106 (but who cares?) that you wont pay VAT on and will get you from A to B with a touch more fun than the standard 1.7 diesel lump in it
