Nothing stupid about my comment because people keep saying the PS3 and expensive, yet you got all that is needed in it unlike the 360 which you now have to buy to improve it

you DONT have to buy shit, i paid £300 and havnt bought anyhting other than games, its only if you want the HD DVD drive etc des it matter.
At least there is the choice, i would be pissed off to have paid £500 for a console with a drive i didnt want

the only way i would end up with one would be if i took my 360 back and told them it was broke and wanted to upgrade to the elite and just pay the extra. also depends on the uk price of the elite

i dont see the need to upgrade, all i will be getting is hdmi, i personally find VGA easily good enough, if not as good.
as the bigger HDD, the 20gb disk i have seems to do me ok, and i can upgrade that seperatly should i need to

nah don't think i will. may upgrade for extra disk space if movie downloads become available. and the hdmi cable when i get a hd tv. but the colour doesn't bother me

I won't be upgrading. My 360 does exactly what i need it to do. I don't think i'll use the whole 20GB on my hard drive as game saves aren't huge so no need for a 120GB one, i'm happy with the picture through my component so i'm not arsed about HDMI. TBH i'd rather have both the 360 and the ps3. If i was going to pay a whack of money out on another console, i'd just get the ps3 then i've got both
