But the first fucking post stated it feels quicker, i stated it won't be noticeably quicker and you lot are fucking haveing a go.

its because we dont like you steve

it will be and feel quicker

My two cents worth:
I took out my rear seats in the Xsara and it was noticeable. I then took out the spare wheel, jack, tools, and everything thats behind the two front seats except for the roof lining and I managed to get the car up on 3 wheels around a corner.

I'd say that was noticeable enough..

Dont do 14" anymore

Firstly because they are the size we sell least and secondly because we can't seem to get hold of 14" spun aluminium rims of any quality. Got some from image wheels once for a one off.......load of crap

I was thinking of taking my rear seats out tonight in my 12v, to see if I noticed any difference

Think I would notice any difference?

Yea, I know you think it makes no 'noticeable' difference, but a few people said that it's most noticeable in small engined cars.

Ok this could be due to launch and tarmac conditions etc...
but its proof enough for me.

Track temp, air temp, wind conditions, fuel levels etc etc

Then there are quesitions of condition of engine? Tyre conditions (same tyres, diff tyres etc etc), yadda yadda yadda. It's fairly indicative, but not exact unless you did the same two runs on the same day or at least in the same conditions etc.

Basically, in my opinion I can see where Steve is coming from. I tried all manor of swapping and changing in my old car: sub box in/out, rear seats in/out, full tank/empty tank, spare wheel/removed etc etc and combinations of some or all of them.

IMO the car never felt any quicker, although laws of physics tells me that it will have been quicker.

Personally I don't think you can underestimate the power of the placebo effect with stuff like this, especially when you get alot more road noise into the cabin, so it sounds alot more raw than it does with the rear seats in.

End of the day do a simple test - a corsa tank holds 40 litres of fuel, so it's gonna weigh 40kg roughly - about the same as the stuff in the rear of the car. Drive the car in anger with a near empty tank, then fill it up and do the sasme bit fo road again. If you think it feels faster, strip the back out (and only ever fill up with £10 of fuel!)

lol ive just read all 7 pages and it dawned on me people have spent the entir 7 pages arguing with steve over a something he agreed on, he always said it would be faster but it just wouldnt be noticble that much on an average car.

Yet for 7 pages people have kained him saying it would be faster stripped, which he agreed with in the first page lol.

My 2 cents, i had two heavy mates in my car last night must weight 80kg each easy, the car did feel slower but not very much at all.

I regualy have 2-5 people in my car and I can tell the difference when one mate is in thats an extra 80 kilos, Corsa rear seats and door cards dont weigh 80 kilos, to strip 80 kilos out a corsa would have to be hardcore stripping

precisely! After 7 pages and 12 hours people see my point! The weight in the back of a corsa won't be more than 40kilos. My gf probably weighs slightly more and in my little tin can i don't notice the difference when she is in the car.
