steve, you moron, PF did a test, they timed nicks S2 standard

then they removed the sub, the boot carpet, all the cleaning stuff in it, and all the loose bits in the car like bottles etc blah blah, it was quicker when timed

then they removed the rear seats are door cards = quicker

then they removed the capret and front seats, and put a bucket in, guess what quicker

My car, with no back seats, rear trims, rear seatbelts rear speakers, spare wheel, jack etc, was noticeably quicker.

You can argue all you like, but that's the way it was.

though I must admit, The reason my car 'seems' quicker with my rear seats out, is because it makes a crisper, raspier noise in the cabin...

With them in, it's just boomy...

I also think weight difference effects smaller engined cars more... thus it's not noticeable in a DC5, but is in a rallye or a lada.

DC5 is fucking heavy enough already, so 20kg won't make much diff... It thankfully has the power to shift it's great weight.

a 100 bhp rallye, a reduction in weight of 20kg is noticeable

It does feel quicker, its a great difference. You havent done it so dont comment, theres no point in trying to make out you know everything if you havent even experienced it. Maybe if you stated you heard somewhere else or thats what your friend said fair enough, but what evidence do you have to support what you said?
