I was having a think last night about this and think Ive a way that could work to some degree. Im not sure what the rules are on this but dont think its breaking any....

If Prem clubs link up with local clubs in the football league, so for example Liverpool would link up with the likes of Tranmere aswell as others around the area. We can then loan players to these clubs on a rolling contract (so if we need them back to cover for injuries, etc. then we can call them back, and then they can return afterwards), and because the teams are local we can possibly come to some agreement over their training...

- They train full time with the loaned club but we have a full time acadamy coach there too. If we have a number of loan players it could work.

- They train part time with the loaned club and part time with the acadamy.

- They train full time with the loaned club and then come back and do development work with the acadamy.

It would need some straong agreements with a number of clubs, and close work between their coaches. But if this could work then it could benefit both clubs through them getting high quality players and us getting experience for the player aswell as developing them.

Isn't that in essence a Feeder Club?

The only part I do not agree with in this whole thing is joining the League. Anything to do with loans and Feeder Clubs is good with me as teams like Luton would benefit from the talent that the bigger clubs have, but can't utilise.

Sounds sensible enough but you're assuming the local smaller clubs are at a certain level, i'm sure there will be some 'big' ( ) clubs who don't have a decent team nr to them

Plus we might get that close that we'd be called livermere or something or everton would moan cos' they wanted to work with tranmere

I doubt the lower league club would want to play with players at the weekend when they haven't been training with the squad throughout the week?

Wouldn't be ideal, but if it was split between both clubs it could work.

yes, I certainly doubted they wouldnt train with them at all, infact it would be stupid to suggest they would pick those players. But even if they missed 1 days training to train with our acadamy, or a little off each day to go to our acadamy, etc.

Basically it would be very similar to a feeder club, yeah. Although there would be no 'ownership' links between the two clubs...which would be illegal!

It would stop any need to enter the league though as would mean they'd still get the competitive games needed.

We'll go with that then, who wants to e-mail the FA with Match Days unanimous decision?

They had best go forward with it or we'll get Topshot to turn up at their door with a Spurs top and an angry disposition

i think that spurs hould have a B team as they have far too many talented individuals to be on the bench/in the reserve team.

I agree with that mate, i've also not got a problem with feeder clubs being used, its them being put into the normall Football League I have the problem with.

If the teams were allowed to put a "B" team in the normall league I for one would be more than p1ssed off, and boycott every game which involved a "B" team in protest.

Im not that arsed if English tallent is going to waste anyways, my main concern in Huddersfield Town. Im sure the Premier League teams are the same and are only using the "improve English tallent" line to get people on board and agree its a good idea.
