You will definately notice 30bhp! £500 for 30 bhp is very good value when you think you'd spend around £400 on a good exhaust and induction kit and only gain 5bhp!

Bear in mind your gearbox might suffer from that power. Too much torque and you'll get clutch slip. I know people with seat ibiza TDIs and fabia VRS worry about their remaps making the car 'too powerful' for its own good.

Custom map is best

gearbox would be fine - they are designed well within limits so uping power and torque by a small margin will be within design limits.

Manufacturers would not devlop a gearbox that was close to the cars OEM limits just doesn't make sense

Over time gearbox will be fine but issues with the clutch will rear its ugly head I gurantee it. Depends how long you keep it and how hard you drive it.

all VAG motors TDI tuners worry about high torque busting boxes.

p.s. i know you car isnt VAG but i was using an example.

Met a lad with a fabia VRS that works with another vauxhall dealer. Hes remapped at 195bhp and was told not to do any other work on the engine without remapping again or the torque will half the life of the box.

I very much doubt you'd see an extra 65bhp from those mods.

30bhp...that is like a whole 12v engine being strapped to the side of yours, nearly.

Chiptuning (volvo specialists)

My quote was £470 from them.
bhp 200 to 235
torque 300 to 342

will be getting done in summer...The volvo boys swear by them...
