i always though that twin engined cars were legal but only one engine can be use on the road. in theory u have a corsa that is either FWD,RWD or 4WD

well this is the plan for the Test days, when i get on the runway with redline and there timing gear, we are going to run 0-60 0-100 1/4mile for all FWD,RWD and 4WD to see how all the times change.

As for expense wll ye BUT you got to think after you have built your corsa or whatever you move onto another car which is alittle faster etc.
I am going all out, yes it costing BUT i will save in the long run not starting another project or wanting somthing faster. I will just carry on deleloping the twin engine......

I think i am going to run Autronic few reasons :-
- It has that many imputs you can have both the engines talking as such (if front engine boost cuts, the rear ecu will pick it up and cut rear)
- Has almost every option on it so never need any addons
- Marks from MAD supose to be the bollox and really helpful, he also offers outstanding aftercare anytime any place he can help he will

But theres £3000 on ECUs

Excellent.. thats pretty much the way the vag v10 /w12 works - twin ecu's - would be the best way to run imo..

MAD's just down the road from me

AK - Yes the Turbos are from the US from Garrett as we are trying to become a UK dealer for Garrett.

ECU's will be the last thing on my list, so loads of time to talk to people and make sure i get the right system.....

Update today, my Lifeline Fire Extenguisher system which is a full Plumbed system with 2 outlets so i can have one over each engine, for just in case i have seen the video of the twin engine golf which go's up into flames....

those 2 nozzle lifelines are pretty cheap arent they! Was looking at one last niggt...80quid or something.

Prob going to move to a plumbed in system once i have things up and running a bit. I have the OMP handheld for now just in case

Garret - yup.... makes you wonder what some UK tuners/firms are making off these turbo's!!! I suppose they cant really evade import tax as easy as a private individual etc so maybe not that much of a margin after all.

This really is a fantastic project, and its great your sharing your build process with people unlike some car owners which reveal their machines when finished.

Personally I love that spoiler! Neat and Subtle... perfect

Im guessing you'll be running 2 x F28's and Quiaffe Diff's or possible Plate diffs as its being built for straight line speed mainly?

Keep posting updates

Well i have been thinking about this
I think once the car is done and working 100% then its a matter of moving on replacing thing to develop the car to the next level.
I think traction and the gearboxs will be my down side when its all up and running.

F28 is the best FWD gearbox which can hold the most ammount of power (as far as i know) i did think about running 2 x F23's as these are cable shift BUT i wanted the 6 gears for top speed runs (180+MPH).
All other boxes which can handle alot of power are all RWD

Russ last year at TOTB did 166mph with a 380bhp Astra with some to go.

Weather i drive the car at them speeds is a differant matter
I shit myself at high speeds in the V6

Tell me about it
Strap it to a dyno and will go for it on there
alot Safer if you ask me.

Reason why i am alittle scared of Mark (MAD) live mapping the car, as i read the post about Neils on MIG where Mark kept shouting at him for not keping his foot down as he was shitting it doing silly speeds I think i will have him book Norris's Dyno
